Just for one moment,
I want this weight off my body.
So that, I can look at my aged wounds
And cry solemnly.
A moment, please?
Where there will be no burden of scoring
And no expectations looking up to you.
No howls of taunts and tantrums
And no pair of eyes staring at you.
Just for that moment,
Others can think of my dreams,
They are piercing out of my skin.
And the needles stuck in my flesh
Making me run an undesired marathon.
For that moment, though.
Maybe they will let me be a winner.
